The government had imposed lockdown on March 25, 2020 to fight COVID-19 pandemic world-wide. Estimates of job loss showed that 80 per cent jobs were affected in urban economy, most of which were self-employed, 54 per cent jobs were affected in rural economy, most of which were casual employment.

Governments are concerned the Covid 19 virus started to spread through air, it is clearly understood though the virus/bacteria spreads through droplets but the droplets are in nano particles which could float in the ambient for a long time.

With the relaxation of lockdown, in capital cities in India by July 2020, there is a major concern in the spread of corona infection by asymptomatic staff and employees. Especially vulnerable are persons working in close contacts in enclosed spaces.

Government SOP: The entire office building need not be closed if one or two cases of COVID-19 are reported there and work can resume after it is disinfected as per protocol, the Union health ministry said.

However, if there is a larger outbreak, the entire building will have to be closed for 48 hours. All staff will work from home till the building is adequately disinfected and is declared fit for re-occupation, it said in the guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread.

We bring in our technician to spray at our client’s premises. It is advised to spray once in 3 days. The spray dose will vary from different application places for e.g. if it were a mall the concentration will be high compared to any IT offices. There would be no limitation of the size of the office it could be from 100 square feet to 20,000 square feet. The disinfection spray will sustain for one week but due to the intense crisis we recommend to have a spray once is three days. The spray can be done anytime of the day even during working hours but in order to avoid inconveniences during working hours we recommend to be done early morning or late evenings.
